JOHNNY Depp's Brit bodyguard of nearly 20 years, Jerry Judge, who was known as his 'Life Angel', has died.
The burly minder was frequently spotted on the red carpet with the star and even inspired his own fan page.
As well as the Pirates of the Caribbean star he also guarded Paul McCartney, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Antonio Banderas and Julia Roberts.
Judge also had cameos in several of Depp’s films including “Sweeney Todd" and appeared several episodes of “Dr. Who” between 1979 and 1984.
The bodyguard was the managing director of Music & Arts Security Ltd in London, according to his LinkeIn page.
The company tweeted a tribute to Judge saying: "Music & Arts Founder and Managing Director sadly passed away today.
"#JerryJudge you were #mrsecurity in the #Entertainment business in the UK a one-off, nice guy, heart as big as a lion great friend over many years #RIP bud will never be forgotten."
Judge was thrust into the spotlight when the actor was accused by ex-wife Amber heard of assaulting her in 2016.
'LIFE ANGEL'
In her court filing at the time for a temporary restraining order against Depp she said: “I yelled to Jerry to please help me and told him that if Johnny hit me one more time I was going to call the police.
“I heard Jerry say, ‘Boss, please.’ But Johnny continued screaming and breaking things, finally leaving the condominium.”
His work with Johnny Depp was so well-regarded with the actor’s fans, he even inspired a Facebook page called Jerry Judge Johnny Depp’s Life Angel.
