She is the sole child of Steven Tyler, the lead vocalist of Aerosmith, and Bebe Buell, a model, singer, and former Playboy Playmate (Miss November 1974).

After viewing Norwegian actress Liv Ullmann on the cover of TV Guide’s March 5, 1977 issue, her mother decided to name her after Ullmann.

Before moving back to New York City with her mother at age 12, Tyler attended the Congressional Schools of Virginia, Breakwater School, and Waynflete School in Portland, Maine.

Tyler played pivotal roles in the 1995 movies “Empire Records” and “Heavy” after making her acting debut.
